Bernhard and Anna Blume: one part of Kitchen Frenzy (at left); part of vase series (at right)
Joel Sternfeld: Buckingham, Pennsylvania (at left); Architecture Museum, Provincetown, Mass (at right)
Jo Ann Callis: Woman Twirling (at left); Figure Under Bedspread (at right)

Nicholas Nixon: Real Pictures #11 (at left); Friendly, West Virginia (at right)
Tina Barney: Sunday New York Times (at left); Jill and Polly in the Bathroom
these are wonderful examples (except the Nixon on the left is not his but NIck Nicosia). In each there is wonderful tension between the photographer's ARRANGEMENT of the world and the photographer's response to what the world presents. This tension between what might be and what is is a defining aspect of photographic intrique. Your choices here pick up on it wonderfully.
